i had my last day of work yesterday. my co-workers made me a cake and gave me a giftcard so i could run around on my lunch break and use my employee discount for the last time. i thought that was incredibly sweet.
tonight is timmy's last night at starbucks. im packing/cleaning... trying to get a head start on the week. my thought is that im going to take this whole thing a day at a time. i have such a hard time with change...
timmy and i had a great day today. we went to church this morning and jay st.clair preached on grace. the part that sticks with me the most was a quote from a 7 year old boy who said, "grace means we don't have to do anything (to earn salvation) because Jesus does all the work." it was just a good reminder that i dont have to earn God's love by doing good things, and that by loving God he's going to give me lots of things to do.
after church, we had lunch with our friend katie, then we went to the movies. we saw hancock, and i liked it, it wasn't what i thought it was going to be like, but it was fun. then we went to watch the end of wall-e again. i freakin love that movie. it was like the last five minutes of the movie. i just downloaded the song at the end of the movie. its called "down to earth" by peter gabriel. i also realized that my favorite song on the jc penney soundtrack was by peter gabriel too. so i downloaded that one too.
we have such busy days ahead... oh, to live in iowa!

(cake by lacey, my co-worker at jc penney)
