in transition

i got boxes from jc penney today.  my co-workers saved two big boxes, some bubble wrap and some tissue paper for me to use for packing, i thought that was really sweet.

today at work a little girl fell down and busted her lip on the mall's tile floor.  i felt so bad for her- crying and whimpering "owww owwww," i almost started crying too!  im going to be such a pansy mom.

i made cookies last night instead of packing.  they're all a little crispy.  our oven runs too hot, and we can't figure out a happy medium.  everything is either burned or not fully cooked, and sometimes both.

finding a job has been such a precious process.  ive loved helping timmy think things through and process ideas and fears.  and i love thinking about what ill do when we get to keokuk.  ive been thinking about going back to school, but i have no idea how i would want to further my education.  i dont know what i'd really want to do.

saying good bye is so hard.  ive done it a lot.  im trying to remember how i left home for school, how i left school for an internship, and how i left an internship for home...  i've left before.  this one just seems more permanent.

my family will be most difficult to leave.  at the moment, i see them sometimes 3 times a month.  i can't imagine seeing them 3 times a year.  but, a lot of people do it.  my husband has done it for a few years now, many of my friends have done this... i just can't imagine it.  thank God for the internet... skype... osage beach...

what a change is coming...  im not scared.  im not even really nervous.  im actually really excited... a little sad... but i just can't wait to be in keokuk, moved in and settled...

love.
