what a weekend!!!!

we had such an incredible time in keokuk.  it was a little bit of a whirlwind, but it was great!  friday we stayed in a hotel, we got to town a lot later than we thought we would.  we used the night to relax/prepare for the interview.  timmy woke up early on saturday morning to get his curriculum printed and put together for the interview, then we got to visit with ginger and paul allen for a while before they left town and we went to the interview.  B.A. gave us a tour of town and drove us to the interview.

the interview its self....  we weren't sure exactly what to expect, but we anticipated the questions pretty well.  timmy was so prepared!  he gave a great interview!  his character finally came out, he looked relaxed, it was great.

several people expressed their hope that we would come work there.  we hope that too!  however, we are praying that God will lead their elders to whomever is needed there.  they are interviewing another guy this week.  and it will either be one week or two weeks until we hear back from them about whether they will have timmy back to teach a lesson or preach a sermon and observe how he interacts with people.  this is such an involved interview process but we are so glad to see them taking such care while they look for someone to take care of their youth.

other than that... we also went to our friend brig dion's wedding, admired the mississippi river and the huge dam, wished it would stop raining so we could play frisbee golf on one of their many courses, visited with kristin rose, and enjoyed lunch with jordan henry.

then we had an extra day, so we went to grinnell and got to enjoy the soderstroms, the carneys and the gonazlezes!  it was so wonderful to get to see eddie and emilie's new apartment and to visit with ellie again!

overall it was a great weekend.  im so glad to be home now, on my own couch, with my stripe blanket, blogging and watching good morning america.

whatever comes, we're so thankful for our weekend.  it was such a huge encouragement.  we're just really thankful.

love.
