coffee

i've been really enjoying brewing coffee.  i like the way it smells.  real coffee drinkers probably don't approve of the amount of sugar and milk that allow me to actually drink my coffee, though.

this morning i was driving to a womens meeting and i almost crashed into the back of a truck.  it was one of those moments when everything but my mind seemed to go slow-motion.  i pressed on the break and felt my car sliding, and saw the bed of the truck in front of me getting closer and closer.  then i remembered to pump the break, but nothing worked, i just kept slowly sliding forward toward the stopped truck.  then i turned the wheel and drove up into someone's yard.  the snow and slope of the ground stopped me a few feet away from a tree.

i told my mom about it.  she wants to buy me some kind of cables (not chains, but some kind of rope or something) that goes around your tires for ice.  ill be the nerd of nerds in keokuk.  but maybe not so scared to drive on the ice... maybe...

anyway...  back to my sugary coffee.

love.

Just a hint. Neutral. I use that a lot when I drive on ice. When the car is in neutral, the wheels are not gettin pushed. It helps you stop. Just a hint. Took me a while to learn this but Rob showed me and I use it all the time when I stop.

Debra

I am glad you are okay! Hopefully there is no correlation between the amount of caffeine you are taking in and your driving :)

I love you and miss you!

hey! when i was trying to get used to ice, i went to an empty parking lot and drove around slamming on my breaks and stuff til i got used to it...i also tried to measure how long it took me to stop and how my car best works on the ice.
good luck!
