we're supposed to have a tornado watch all day.
yesterday was a great day. we went to a really good workshop in the morning, then margo and tyler met us for church, then cari from starbucks was just visiting but we ran into her and she came to sit with us too. a lot of our college age community was sitting together because an international student from france, vincent, was being baptized and he's become a great friend to a lot of us-- i dont know anyone who doesn't love this guy-- so we were all pretty excited to welcome him into the family. also, our friend dan is the preaching ministry intern at church and he had the opportunity to preach sunday morning because our pastor was sick, and the worship intern, who is also "college age" was leading worship.
i liked it because it was a window to the future, a glimpse of our peers in leadership over thousands of people. i know we're all going different places. its hard to think about because we've worked so well together so far and we love each other so much and i know we all want to keep doing just that. however, i also know that this place isnt for all of us, but thats even more exciting because once people are in places where their gifting can be really used, the Spirit starts moving naturally and mightily.
im so thankful for the things we've experienced with our friends here, and praise God for the fruit we've seen! what comes next is unfathomable. our God is so mighty.
love.

Man Kate that is such an awesome view of last Sunday. I love it! It is so cool to look at our friends and see what it will look like one day when we are the elders and leaders of churches or misions. Crazy! Thanks for sharing your heart!
Vincent's baptism was so moving. It was awesome to see that whole section of college kids get up and love on him.
I like this post :)
