a new song

i wrote a new song.  (sidenote-- making titles for all the blogs is hard.  im really not good at that.)

i really like the way this one turned out.  i had a partial idea a long time ago and ive been waiting for something to come through my mind that would work well with it.  its nothing new.  i still havn't been brave enough to record with anyone, not even my husband, who by the way, has an amazing voice and mad guitar skills and we just need to get it recorded on some tracks.  so the song is just me and piano again, but i think the fact that it has been so long in the making is what makes this one really satisfying.  sometimes i get all the words at once and no melody or a melody i really like but no words sound right with it.  this one just really worked out.  i hope other people think the same thing about this song.  some songs, i dont care what other people think.  this one though... i just want to know.

tonight is date night.  im pretty excited about that.  minus the fact that a storm's a brewin in southwest missouri and there will probably be tornados tonight. 

i hate tornados.
